What do you think of a large tattoo on a woman’s arm?
Essa asked:
I have a large dragon (coming out of some clouds) on my right upper arm. I got it about 10 years ago when I was younger and now I have been feeling self concious about it. It covers almost all of my upper arm. I have thought about removing it but that would cost thousands of dollars that I do not have and it would leave a large scar. Do you think I should leave it? I do recieve a lot of complements on it but I still feel that it draws attention away from the rest of me.

That’s why they tell you it’s permanent. If your getting compliments then whats the problem. Incorporate it into your persona. I think women with artistic and tasteful tattoos are hot. My wife has 3 and will getting another.

Well then wear a t-shirt or something. Unless you are going out and want people to see the convo starter. Lasering is pricey and will require multiple sessions. It could just end up looking like a faded dragon..

I have 5 tattoos, but mine are basically hidden most of the time. Because of that, I really don’t judge people who have tattoos. I know some people do (it’s always fun to see the narrow-minded things people say in front of me because they don’t realize I have tattoos), but you’re never going to make everyone happy with what you do.
I guess I wouldn’t remove your upper arm tattoo. You can always cover it with clothing if you feel that it should be covered in certain situations. That’s probably the cheap, easy, and painless way to deal with it.

Personally, I think tattoos like that are very attractive. I always wish I had the guts to get one covering my whole bicep.

I know a few women you have met their husbands because of their tattoos. It seemed to be a good conversation piece to break the ice. I have one on my shoulder of a rose and I love it when people ask about it. My opinion……..keep it.

It’s part of you and who you are so don’t feel like it’s drawing attention away from the rest of you. If you feel that self conscious about it then where clothes that will cover it. Otherwise take the compliments! When I see people’s tattoos I look at the person as a whole – not just their tattoo

Everybody has different perceptions of tattoos… you really only need to worry about your own perception. If you like it and it makes you happy, why worry about anyone else’s opinion?
A tattoo is like a haircut, some will like it & some won’t. If you’re the one wearing it, yours is the opinion that matters.
Personally, I’d keep it.

It you feel that it draws attention away from you and you don’t like that, then I would suggest that you don’t wear clothes that allow others to see it, and then no one will be able to make any sort of comments on it (bad or good). But if you’re getting compliments on it, and it’s a great piece of work, then why cover it up?
Good artwork done right is a beautiful thing that adds to ones’ beauty and shouldn’t be covered up.

There is only one thing u need to worry about and that’s what do you think of it? I dint you or anything about you. The only thing you have to do is develop your skill of is WHO GIVES A RATTS ASS WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK. If all there are concerned is about your tattoo then the are pretty shallow and not worth wasting your time on them.
